No, it indicates you a person of style and taste. There are too few of us left in a world where people think this BMW is not only acceptable but somehow desirable.

Light weight carbon bucket seats, that are power adjustable. The exercise in futility has commenced.
It’s almost like the land of the free is some kind of police state.
The beauty of the Outback is that it’s still low enough to easily put stuff on the roof and yet has more ground clearance than this thing’s X-Line (8.7" vs. 8.4"). Unless you’re standing up inside the car, the Outback is still hard to beat in this soft-roading segment. No 3rd row though if that matters (it probably…
Drinking Game; take a shot every time David says or uses “holy grail” in an article or title.
Another person and I were talking about what to do in these situations in another thread. Requires a bit of fuck-it-money but buy one of those German market Touregs, strip it to the screws and send all the good bits home in a crate. Scrap the chassis. Buy the first cheapest non-runner clean US-titled Toureg with a…
Adrian van Hooydonk makes Chris Bangle look like Michelangelo
I have the feeling that there’s going to be a rapid followup to this post, and that we’ll get to see this frame reconstituted in its entirety before winter hits.
That’s such a nice tribute, David. Thank you for lifting up this honorable, beautiful man. I can still hear his voice more than 50 years later. He moved his family into our lily-white neighborhood in 1967. I was a young boy then, fascinated by his blue Austin Healey Sprite—and then I learned he raced it! I’d see him…
And they’ve said things like that before. Then they capitulate when they get the right offer.
I agree and I’ve always found that it says more about the person using the word than the car itself when a person calls a car an “appliance.” It just tells me the person is one dimensional in their thinking and can only enjoy something in very specific ways.
Its fine if you want to call it an appliance, but its the BEST appliance in a sea of appliances, and being a car...and me being interested in car culture...I think it’s worth exploring why that is.
“Maybe these RAV4 buyers didn’t know that they could get an interesting car instead.”
that wasn’t really a Karen experience — much too polite and no threats of calling PD, no outright bigotry, no acts of violence.
If Level 2 autonomy can convince this dipshit to recline the seat and take a snooze, how on Earth can we not expect that full autonomy won’t entice a million other idiots to pound beers, smoke a bowl, wank off, watch Pornhub, or post witty replies to Jalopnik?
Send the fine to Tesla. Until Tesla is held liable for offering this deeply flawed product, people will continue to misuse and abuse it.
Sometime after the designers are done and all the critics say how handsome it is, and enthusiast all sigh with relief that it’s not a visual mess, an executive will enter a meeting talking about some hot new 2 Quick 2 Ferocious franchise movie his grandson is watching and make them slap some shitty fake vents or wings…
Dude what are you smoking. I see similar elements that are retained (vertical door handles, cup holder placement, center arm rest design).
Seeing the Z and the Supra side by side really makes it obvious that the Supra is a bit of an overwrought mess. The Z is refreshingly simple and straightforward. I don’t care if it is a heavily reworked 370z. I like it.
