I’ve not experieced that problem but I looked in Settings>Devices>Mouse and Touchpad and mine is currently set to open Cortana when I tap the touchpad with 3 fingers so that is probably what yours is set to as well. It looks like you can set different shortcuts for 3 and 4 finger taps as well as 3 finger swipes...
