I know! Another poster told me about that and then I found more information about it online. The sister even wrote a book about it. Sure, was he did was unwise and reckless but as a survivor of abuse, he had way different motivations than some spoiled middle class kid. I feel awful for his sister.

I’m a dog lover and have owned dogs all my life. Years ago, I was watching one of those reality shows about a veterinarian and one of the storylines was about a dog suffering from cancer. The vet told the owner to make a list of the three things the dog loved the most. When the dog could no longer enjoy them, it was

Oh, shit...well, that changes things a lot! After reading the book, I could never understand his anger at his parents and why it would drive him to do the things he did. That context makes a whole lot more sense. It also makes me so sad for his sister...now she has an asshole father and no brother :-(

He ran away because, basically, he was angry at his parents so I imagine that’s part of his mystique. If I recall correctly from the book (and it’s been about ten years so I could have some details wrong) he hated his dad and was disappointed in his mom for looking the other way while his dad ran around on her. He

“I work with retarded children.”

SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY, GHOSTBUSTERS WITH OVARIES!

Hey, I’ll have your back any time, just because I love your Kinja name!

Yeah and the various accounts I’ve read of the case suggest that the prosecution aggressively pursued a case against Michael Jackson. The only thing that kept them from going to trial is that MJ made a deal with his victim’s family. So I can’t figure out why he didn’t get charged for this stuff.

I’m with you. I think the story that has evolved over the past 25 years since his first arrest is that he was a hopelessly screwed up guy who made some bad decisions around kids. Of course, media narratives differ and MJ has been portrayed as everything from a monstrous predator to a well-meaning but, ultimately,

I always thought that quote was so fucking insane and it would drive me nuts whenever someone posted it to social media as some kind of inspirational meme. Too bad she didn’t have an alternative plan to use actual science to “disrupt” blood testing, amirite??

<timidly raises hand>

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking. I mean, Machado limped halfway to the mound and the catcher couldn’t keep up with him?

Yep, and he’s trying to frame the wife. Because birds are assholes.

GARRRRYYY?? Gary, where are you??

His Stern show appearances are epic. And I love when everyone on the show shares anecdotes of their experiences with Richard. The story of his visit to the theater with Robin had me crying, I was laughing so hard. Howard also wrote about them in his book, “Private Parts”. Sadly, I doubt we’ll ever hear him on the show

And as another commenter posted, it’s so much easier, too!

Babies in bikini tops make me uncomfortable and I’m not certain why. It’s not like their cleavage is going to spill out or anything. It just feels weird to me.

Also, THAT’S NOT LAKE MINNETONKA.

I thought something similar! Those looks are so much more than “oh, look, someone is getting her picture taken”

I’m 44 and dated a 57-year old woman. She was terrific and I really liked her but the gap in our experiences and interests was just too wide. When I was a kid and parked in front of MTV waiting for the “Thriller” video to premiere, she was out snorting cocaine off of women’s breasts. So, yeah, it was hard for us to
