My favorite part is at the end where you state your opinion that Blizzard decides the facts of life.

Actually I think it's a combination of Steam Sales, games journalism, and being fairly busy with more time to listen to podcasts gushing about these games than actually time to play them. But even if I don't have time to play them I'll see a sale and go "Oh yeah I've heard that ones straight up my alley! I'd be

Second last paragraph, about how Valve has the whole discount thing figured out, is EXTREMELY, EXTREMELY true. If you want proof I can show you my credit card statements from the past year, and I'm sure there are many who can say the same.

At that level of play, if you get beat, you probably deserve to get beat, and the winners deserve to win. Normally hard core moba players trash talk when they feel that their team isn't pulling enough weight. But these are the world championships, these players know they're teammates and opponents well and respect

Ooh man, that was a pretty nice trailer, actually. I'm going to have to pay closer attention to this one.

"It's not about death, it's about life" Says man making art of death dealing weapons out of dead things.

Not quite; the kickstarter goals set by these games are comparable to a budget they would look to get paid by a publisher looking to fund them to make it. This money pays for production expenses and the wages/salaries of the teammembers, as they need to eat, just like us. In this case its the fans funding, so the

It is my firm belief that all tech support should own a dvd burner and a broadband connection. No reason to not have access to the latest OS.

Oh and it's indie as well, I believe.

Well if you like the civ-type strat games, or 4x if you prefer the term, I'd highly recommend Endless Space. Interesting races, deep strategic gameplay with easy to grasp concepts and an extremely intuitive UI, far as those games go.

Right, even the Hi-res still doesn't make the thing anything other than a fancy netbook with a resolution that a gamer would drool over, only lacking the hardware power to game in said resolution.

I agree completely. The objectively thinking part of me has to ask though; can you find a comparably priced laptop pc with a 2880x1800 display?

To be honest; I have a hunch that things like this will lead to the Wii U becoming the next great JRPG haven; like the DS/3DS/PSP have been these past few years.

Ezio in A C Revelation performed many an acrobatic feat, and he was in his late 40's, wasn't he? I don't remember anyone getting too butthurt about that. You could even argue that both men are equally trained in their respective skill sets, so it makes perfect sense for snake to still be a badass in his late 40's.

Ah, once you start playing it you'll realize it's worth it.

Only thing kind of out of the norm I can see is the prompt use of 72 hour bans. In most MMOs in this situation you would just be prompted to pick a new name upon next login. The bans could be seen as rather heavy-h a n d e d than most. And of choose it's not like they are charging a a sub fee so it's not so bad.

Iphone 5 is going to have a screen around 4.1 inches. The Galaxy s2 is 4.3 inches by comparison. Very soon, Iphone owners aren't going to be able to make the whole "it fits in my pocket and hand way easier" argument.

You forget that all Android phones , regardless of manufacturer, run off Google's software marketplaces. Those app purchases add up, and I think hardware and apps are all included in what would be considered the "smartphone marketshare".

One could argue that hardware/hardware manufacturers aside, those statistics do show an advantage for Google from a simply Google vs Apple standpoint. You have to keep in mind that Google gets tons of revenue from the software in it's OS, as well as a cut from each phone sold with its OS.

I look at that picture and all I can think is "that lady is totally gonna break a nail fighting melee with those guys".
