Yeeeeeah.... people are still laughing at Dave Chappelle, so this doesn’t really apply.
Yeeeeeah.... people are still laughing at Dave Chappelle, so this doesn’t really apply.
That’s true, I don’t think that applies here though because there are plenty of people out there that still think Chappelle is funny.
I mean, sure, Chappelle is doubling down on some very problematic stances here, but...really? We’re doing the “I never thought he was funny, unlike you plebes” thing?
Millions of people laugh at Chapelle’s jokes.
If only people watched the whole thing instead of snippets and listen to the commentary on what they are supposed to think.
Feeding and clothing a child is the bare minimum responsibility you take on when you have one. It’s not something the child has to thank you or owe you for.
On the part of his mom, yes, absolutely.
Yeah, but the kid only exists to need and want food and care and sports practices and recitals because of a choice the parents made. I don’t think it makes sense that if you call someone into existence you get to demand gratitude of them.
honestly, reminiscent of the comment sections whenever spanking comes up. people (and parents) that are cool with hitting kids show up in droves :/ .
Nobody’s going to cut off their mother because they said one shitty thing, once, when they were 12. This was obviously not an isolated incident, and she was probably some shade of this with him constantly.
Yeah! Everyone give your money to your abusers! They may be bad for abusing you but you're worse for being mad about it!
Nah. Don’t ever be a good drone, kids.
adding on here, since it disappeared elsewhere:
A friend of a friend has a 12 year-old who every time I interact with this kid I want to strangle them. I can’t believe the fortitude of the parents to keep this kid in the world and breathing.
That or their takeaway was “moms deserve money, even if they’re shitty,” apparently.
Yah, nah.
“The best thing” for whom?
“I can’t believe the fortitude of the parents”
I don't think successful people owe their parents extravagant presents? He said he helped her out when she really needed it, how is it spiteful?
It’s amazing how often people will spout out some dumb comments without reading the article.
