Unpopular opinion alert:

He's a fiction writer.

I've written fiction a long time and, to be honest, it DOES feel like the characters exist fully formed in another realm. Deliberately writing characters to fit my politics makes for some heavy handed storytelling, in my experience.

"It is not a democracy. If it was a democracy, then Joffrey would have died much earlier than he did."

I simply refuse to believe that either Ms. Stone nor Ms. Hendricks aren't natural redheads. It's quite nice living in a delusional state, at times.

Just have to stick with the Macchu Pichu selfies then. They say "I'm adventurous, but not really"

Deliberately making themselves the victim is a time-honored tactic of abusive pieces of shit everywhere, as is thinking they're above reprimand. He may well not be smart enough to put it all together but it would surprise me. I may well be too cynical :)

I'm not entirely sure that tying debt solely to monetary value of the object you're buying is a sufficient model for evaluating debt. As an example, I went into debt to buy a phone a couple years back because, when I was starting out as a writer, I needed a device. I ended up getting a job because of it covering

Jackson Pollocks is also cockney rhyming slang for bollocks

That is similar and I respect you pointing it out (you've been keeping me on my toes this week!), but I think it's a pretty common joke. I will just try harder next time.

I heard it on Two-and-a-half men years ago.

Exactly. Then pretty much every picture out there would have a label that said it had been photoshopped. And pretty soon, no one would even see the label anymore and things would go on just as they are now. So yeah, cute petition and all, but pointless.

As a photographer, I am constantly amazed at how these posts really only serve to show how ignorant (sometimes willfully so) the writers are in regards to Photoshop (and anything to do with photography, really). I mean - it's all right there in the video embedded in the story; the difference between the final studio

"Because our kids don't have the ability to process or understand what they're seeing," Matlins states.

Same goes for any model wearing makeup & hair product.

The most significant and noticeable changes to the model's appearance in this video (contributing to the "unrealistic view of beauty") occur before the image is even taken into Photoshop.

Old Hollywood glamour shots are a good reminder that there's always been photomanipulation. George Hurrel supposedly spent hours altering negatives with chalk and graphite to remove blemishes and unwanted hairs or lengthen eyelashes, etc, to present his subjects as perfect.
