The people who are buying GTs are the people who already have ferraris and/or Lamborghinis, or would never be caught dead in one because they’re too mainstream/boring.

American Christianity has more to do with Charlemagne-style crusades, imperialism, and manifest destiny than it has to do with anything in the bible.
Dumb people exist across all political spectrums.
A few more people die a year, government gets more money to use helping other people.
My guess is the low-volume record goes to the Aptera with a drag coefficient of 0.15:
It’s a valid issue. Still a publicity stunt.
Wait, why is homeland security involved? This looks like it was all done within the borders. Shouldn’t it be the FBI who has jurisdiction over this?
Yeah, the general consensus is that detectors are legal because, on their own, they have very little power without jammers.

It’s a range thing. All radar guns emit radiowaves, but have to detect them as they bounce back, so they have a limited detection range based on how sensitive the gun is and how much radio noise there is. Only if you compromise on the performance expectations. Luxury adds complexity and weight, the bane of performance.
Around here, where people are used to 10-15mpg sports cars, I wouldn’t call a 20mpg Town Car a “Gas guzzler”.
Fixed that for you.
