In a way, yeah. Buying new cars to reduce emissions just makes unclean cars cheaper. The whole idea of emissions regulations is that after 20 years, all the unclean cars will be off the road.
It’s the right thing to do if the treatment of a nice car makes up for money you’d have to spend on another hobby, appearances, or vacations.

This is the golden age of internet cool, where tech specs and upvote/downvote pandering matters more than personality or style. It’s a different type of cool from magazine spreads, celebrity owners and kid’s posters.
McLaren didn’t really want to play the track lap time game, but they built a better, faster car.
It depends on capacity scaling costs for electricity. While the prices will increase, the bigger threat is if the grid drain increases significantly and requires building new infrastructure, which will exponentially increase the problem.

I think shape-wise it’s a lot more beautiful than the Veyron, but the details like the headlights, rear spine, frong winglets and taillights are incredibly garish.
Chinese manufacturers have a decade of history behind them making insane claims, showing one unfinished/design prototype, and then disappearing suddenly and without warning. And this is before they have ever showed a legitimate consumer-ready car that wasn’t being manufactured by someone else.
