Several previous expansions offered “Adventures”, single-player raids of a sort where you fight a series of bosses with unique cards and abilities to use against you. I mean, I can kind of understand the idea of giving Kubrows the “virtual pet” feel of having to take care of them and play with them, etc etc, but it ends up being a lot of work for a weaker, less useful and less consistent version of a little robot you can just attach to your shoulder and forget about.

Yes, it should have been just another expansion. They tossed out way too much existing content and features for fairly little in return. Much of what Destiny 2 does right was already being done right in Taken King. What should have been a drastic evolution of the formula was instead just a reset to vanilla Destiny 1.
