Wow, a game based around predatory and deceptive microtransactions is making a ton of money from whales and idiots who don’t read the news or think too hard about what they spend their money on? Ya don’t say!

Last I’d heard, it had been “pushed off to the side” indefinitely.

It was an alright series, had some cool moments and concepts and the production value was top-notch, Hayden Christensen got a do-over for his portrayal of Anakin/Vader and did a much better job this time, but I think we’re all ready to take a break from lightsabers and Force-users.

Good for Itsuno, never played Dragon’s Dogma myself but I know it was something of a passion project for him and he’s been wanting to make a sequel for ages, so glad to see he finally got the chance.

I’d normally call this a late April Fool’s joke or muse on who could possibly want this, but given some of the Dead By Daylight fan-art I’ve been seeing...

Nioh 2 absolutely deserves a lot more attention: fantastic, fluid and well-balanced combat, good variety in playable builds and gearing and a ton of content and bosses, especially if you get the Complete Edition for the DLC chapters.

I’m a little more ambivalent on the matter of difficulty options because that tends to be a pure numbers issue; if a person just doesn’t have the skill or reflexes to deal with a boss’ mechanics, for example, that shouldn’t prevent them from at least being able to complete the main story. The real issue is when the

The very simple reason why OP stuff in PvE-only games gets nerfed is because it makes the game more fun. Not even kidding.

It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say Utada Hikaru and “Simple and Clean” made Kingdom Hearts, which isn’t to say KH is bad, the song is just that good. Even though the lyrics have absolutely nothing to do with the game or the plot, the song’s emotional impact matches perfectly with the dream-like quality of KH’s

Ahahahahahahhhhhh why am I not surprised, the kid calls my arguments a bunch of junk and then completely ignores any point I made in favor of arguing against a bunch of strawman positions that had nothing to do with what I was talking about.

This is one of the great things about gaming: the organic rise of legends. A great writer or great actor or great filmmaker is one thing, but a gaming legend often comes completely out of left field to create moments and stories that no one was expecting and can never quite be replicated.

Now we’re talking. If you’d just said this from the beginning instead of diverging into sarcastic whataboutisms about Mario (but since you insisted, we’ll get to him), we could’ve saved quite a bit of time.

You’re really dedicated at this “sarcastic over-simplification to try and score points” bit, aren’t you? I’m almost tempted to take you seriously if I thought for a moment you’d argue in good faith.

Yeah, and you might have noticed all those games had some drastically different settings and gameplay mechanics to compensate.

An announcement trailer that’s uncomfortably similar to KH3's announcement trailer, and we all saw how much that changed (or didn’t) between then and release.

Yeah, they often do. It’s part of why Nintendo often introduces new takes on the formula like new villains, new gameplay and new settings. The most important bit, however, is that Mario’s games are often good, whereas KH has been kind of struggling in some aspect or another since the second game. It’s honestly kind of

So we have Sora...again.

Man, this game has got to have some kind of wild story behind its development. Like I get the impression there was initially a much bigger budget and they intended to go for a much more serious tone, but then plans fell through but development was already going well enough so Square just said “we’re not expecting

This is the exact response they should have made. If cosplayers are any indication, some people do like dressing up in impractically-skimpy outfits, but that shouldn’t be the only thing that’s available. More available cosmetic styles, not less, that’s the ideal.
