CLOVER PLEASE. Tonight's performance was a HOT MESS! She was OFF KEY and it was just an insult to true gospel singers. What? No, gospel singers in the house tonight?

I want to applaud Sports illustrated for having the courage to feature a young white woman with symmetrical features, the hip to waist ratio of the Venus de Milo, and pert breasts. Most humans look at this model and have to cover their eyes in horror. Only the Sports Illustrated editors could see past conventions of…
No, he's legit smart in a "critical" way. A way that not too many people 1) are, or 2) are willing to admit because they don't want the backlash. But, "smart" is not an overstatement about him, at all.
Men of colour, just like white men, treat women of colour worse than they treat white women. There's just a general idea out there that there are less or no consequences for treating WOC poorly. Doesn't matter if he's Inuit or not. I'd bet money that the same officer would have treated a white woman differently.
When Lilo photoshops her photos, Jez makes fun of her. When Beyonce does it, she either had nothing to do with it, or she is a victim to the pressures on women to be perfect, or there's no certainty the obvious photoshop is really a photoshop.
Congratulations, white people! We did it again!
it has become a problem for a generation of younger women
Yeah. And they "poke fun" at homosexually and the kidnapping of the Nigerian girls.
can i say (with the obvious caveats that this was a horrible tragedy), the rush of so many news outlets to praise the work of Charlie Hebdo seems weird to me? Because I'm not really cool with supporting hateful imagery in the guise of "satire" or whatever the fuck they thought they were doing.
I have zero problem with that since it seems she's bisexual. I mean, absent her saying "I'm a lesbian", the evidence so far says she's bi.
To which Ashlee Simpson's mother-in-law says, "Who?"
. . . that's (famously racist Brit) Martin Freeman, right? Am I not getting the meta-irony here?
I'm glad you mentioned them because I think there's something to be said about the success of Taylor Swift but the not-so-much success of other woc who don't have a sexualized image. Jazmine Sullivan is another great example of a talented woc.
Can a woman objectify herself? Is that feminist?
Did you even read this? Nobody is asking you to apologize. This isn't about you. The fact that you managed to be offended by this piece is a testament to just how much you don't get it.
It's not always about you.
I am a good white person. ... And do you know what? I don't see a need to apologize for it.
Not talk about it. You can just do the right thing without telling everyone. That's not only for issues of racism, it's also just a general rule. You shouldn't need positive reinforcement for being a decent person. Just be one.
I don't know if she stole this or whatever, but I will say that when I pressed play on the first video, I knew exactly which part of Drunk in Love it was supposedly referencing. So there's that.
I'm still listening through the album but I'm glad to hear the rest of it is good too. I didn't love Get On Your Knees, but Feelin' Myself is my shit, and The Crying Game is beautiful.
