I run 100+ mph RC electric boats, and they produce a sound that is rather impressive when on the move, mainly because the prop and motor are connected 1:1.

As a first time RAM buyer (lifelong Ford buyer), I have to say I absolutely love my RAM Rebel. Zero issues in over 3 happy years of ownership. Absolutely subverted my prejudices of FCA quality prior to purchase.

What competitor could possible do that?  

He isn’t actually talking about your car, he stated “1990s-2000s era cars who cares, those are just used cars”.

As you mentioned, this isn’t a big deal as many of these cars aren’t even classics, just late model. changing the head unit isn’t taboo for most enthusiasts for cars in this age group.   

Most charging centers are designed for single cars, having a trailer still attached would be nearly impossible to do without either blocking the road or charging stations or both.

I hear you on that. Though we lost the Camaro for a bunch of years in the past, I see it coming back again, but likely as an EV.

Very true for Ford, but for RAM the CEO of Stellantis stated the Hemi is staying, especially in the 1500 class trucks.

Sure, with an enthusiast eye. But when it concerns their sales volume, where the majority of their revenue comes from light & heavy duty truck sales, this is an important upgrade.

I mean pretty much of course they need to keep developing their V8 engines for trucks, unless they expect people to tow less than 100 miles before needing a 2 hour charge for their giant batteries.

I just don’t feel EV’s are ready for prime time for much of the World.

I agree, I didn’t say it erases or removes the guilt from it, I said for me it wasn’t the worst thing that offended me out of the things he said. 

I think it’s based on the British Class/Caste system that still there, underlying how they rank people socially.

If the SUV is gone, so is the van.  He is basing his opinion on the SUV because of aerodynamics, the minivan isn’t exactly anymore streamlined as any other SUV.
