I try not to condone violence, especially getting shot, but a kick in the ass and a slap in the face, and some jail time for costing people $$$ in tires, that I can stand behind.

1983 Chevy Cavalier station wagon. First new car they purchased in the US. I spent much of my childhood riding in the cargo area looking back at the cars driving behind us. Not legal today for obvious reasons, but so much fun.

But that’s not what most did, if you look at the current news stories of this event and the one they pulled 4 months ago, they mostly showed slashed tires.

It was on several news stations, showing slashed tires of SUVs. You can probably search the videos on YouTube pretty easily. Also, this isn’t the first time this group has done this, about 4 months ago it was also done by the same group, again mostly deflating tires by slashing.

Many of the tires are slashed to deflate them.  Requiring replacement of all 4 tires.

Wasn’t the 32B on paper? It was the value of the tokens they created out of thin air right?

I think at the end of the day, the narrative on ‘22 was equally “Holy crap, Max is fast and won’t make a mistake” as it was “what the hell is going on in the Ferrari paddock?”

That was true for half the season, but Red Bull clearly out-performed them on the latter half of the season, there wasn’t much they could do there regardless of strategy.

I thought wow, the average MSRP for a base 911 is over 100K. I thought that must be way over the rise of inflation.

It just dropped to $4.39 for regular in San Diego, California at my local Costco.

I hear you, definitely felt like that, and to be honest, I’m not a Red Bull fan, especially after the Max Checo thing in Brazil.

Of course this is a money grab, and very unwelcome in this world of high inflation for everything.

How many races could make up for a 146 driver’s point deficit between Max and Charles? And a 205 point manufacturers deficit between Red Bull & Ferrari?

I think are you are misunderstanding my meaning, I said jumped Red Bull, as in points due to DNFs.

Not really, the car is built around Max who likes a strong front, while Carlos prefers a stronger rear. Another example is McLaren with Norris and Riccardo where car traits suit one driver over another.

Cars don’t win championships by themselves, it’s a team effort.

How so? Ferrari jump Red Bull by quite a few points due to 3 DNFs right at the start of the season.

Sure, but that went away to the point the Ferrari was only fast on Saturday.  2nd half of the season, it was a Red Bull dominant on all circuit types.

Sure, but a Max piloted Red Bull was all dominant at the 2nd half of the season. He won races further back in the field 3-4 races in a row, staring in 14th, 10th, etc. He won easily on various circuits regardless of downforce.

I think saying Ferrari threw it away is being way too generous to them.
