I don’t think you can always blame the parents. Kids spend so much of their time around other kids. If the culture at school between little boys is that it’s bad to do anything “girly” then having their parent or teacher tell them it’s okay to do so, doesn’t always work. It can help, and the adults certainly need to

Publicly thanked a woman his incompetence helped become a war widow. And then used her pain to boost his standing.

Shouldn’t the headline be “Alleged fucking creep wins Oscar”?

What would he say? “Two people I’ve never met accused a third person I’ve never met of doing awful things, but they settled out of court and can’t or won’t talk about it, so we will never know what really happened.”

Spicer’s words back in the good old days of... this past December.

Jezebel is owned by Gawker Media. Or was, when Gawker went under and the company publicly said they were moving away from gossip and focusing on politics. They then got bought by Univision, I believe. But I assumed Univision would try to avoid that which made Gawker Media go out of business (gossip.)

Haha. Good point. I should know better and stick to The Slot.

So, reposting TMZ and Page Siz is part of Gawker Media’s move away from gossip and more towards politics? When do you start outing people again?

I just watched “Arrival” last night. Amy Adams is amazing in it. I think she’s the best actress of her generation.

Yeah, it was the pilot. I think the stuff about Don’s identity was more part of the series pitch later (although not sure if he already had that in mind.) The pilot has the surprise reveal of Betty. Which made it a fun read I’m sure.

As I understand it, Weiner wrote the script in 2000 while on staff at the sitcom “Becker”. His agent didn’t do anything with it (likely because Weiner was a successful comedy writer and the agent would then have to try to sell him as a drama writer, which would require more work) but the script got to David Chase in

“Mad Men” took ages to get made, and it’s one of my favorite TV shows ever. But that one was already a period piece, so that helps I suppose!

Hmm. I find it interesting how a movie got made. And find it impressive when a writer or director toiled for years to get their project made. It’s a nice story even if not unique. Of course, if I was as bored of those articles as the author, I’d just skip them. Not sure their harm.

It makes as little sense as any bigotry. Hatred of Jews is incredibly old. Any group that is different than the majority can be labelled “the other” and scapegoated. If it weren’t hate of race or religion you’d have nationality to divide people (still do.) If we were all one nation in the world, and there wasn’t

A child who doesn’t realize what they are doing to another child, is not using force or coercion, is not performing sexual acts on the child, but is maybe exploring in ways that adults would never do, is not a sexual abuser nor are their actions “always illegal” even if they should certainly be taught to respect

I’m sorry if I misunderstood you. No, she is not someone who sexually abused anyone.

Maher describing Milo’s anti-trans hate speech about Trans-women using women’s bathrooms as “reasonable” is disgusting.

She did not abuse her sister, but feel free to mischaracterize things because you dislike her.

“Arrival” is pretty differnt from the rest. But I agree with you generally. I think if they were more of a push to have the animated films compete for best picture, instead of have their own category, you’d have some blockbusters in there.

Imagine if you could coerce an ex-wife into retracting a rape accusation they previously made under oath? You could become President!
