More pop-psych psycho babble from Psychology Today that will make you distrust perfectly trustworthy people if you try to apply it to real human beings.

@ChaosEh: So you're sticking with your assertion that DSL and Fiber users see "almost as much" bandwidth degradation in the last mile as Cable users? Kudos to you for taking such a disprovable stance and sticking with it.

@Michael Li: How does that analogy apply to java vs other languages? I don't get it. 'splain it to me like i'm stoopid.

@ChaosEh: While I agree with your premise I disagree with the phrase "almost as much." Comcast regularly oversells their circuits leaving users with near dialup speeds during peak hours. DSL and Fiber users don't see anywhere near that kind of fluctuation. Plus if you've got a DSL or fiber connection which goes

@JohnnyricoMC: Ballistic? I don't think it means what you think it means. Watch it there mr. pot-calling-the-kettle-black. Physician heal thyself. If you're so troubled by my comment why the hell did you abuse your star and promote it? For the purpose of ridicule? (need a block button.) Rant all you want, I'm

"Morning people" cannot be trusted. ;-)

@JohnnyricoMC: The annoying part is that you assumed you're the only person here that knows speedtest uses port 80.

@RGLarson: Not an unexpected assumption, but in reality handing your card to a bartender is far riskier than using such systems. Just think of how many people shop online over completely unprotected public wifi connections. Also far riskier than NFC

"Apple brings the Beatles catalog to iTunes." That's hilarious. Correct wording would be: "Paul, Ringo and the estates of John and George finally cave to years of begging by Apple."

@Michael Li: LOL! I typed 'DLS' instead of DSL. You know what makes that even funnier? The third residential DSL circuit ever installed in Seattle was in MY apartment. lol.

so why didn't you respond with a tool to help him instead of responding just to criticize my response?

How to tell if your cable connection speeds fluctuate: You have a cable connection.

Yeah, I wouldn't get hooked on it iPhone users. It's as likely as not to get pulled again at the next shift of the mood of Steve Jobs' ego.

@Xer0Ph0kus: Indeed. Recognizing your prejudices is the first step in overcoming them. Like I said, easier said than done.

Sooo much easier said than done.

They want me to move my messaging services with far superior user interfaces into their utterly abysmal messaging user interface with one of the worst privacy records in the industry? Yeah, good luck with that FB.

Current and former AOL users need something new to fall for I guess. *rolls eyes*
