Every time a new Assassin's Creed hits, they tell us the kill animations are going to be more brutal and gruesome than ever. At some point, our hero is going to have to rip his enemies' nuts right out from their sacks with his bare fucking teeth. Tone it down a notch, Ubisoft.

I do my best

What would you do in his position, though? He can't stop Konami from making more Metal Gear games, and he can't stop the gaming community from associating any new entries with his name even if he had no involvement. In some sense, Konami is holding his reputation hostage. It's up to Kojima fans to stop buying MGS

With their flagship Metal Gear and Silent Hill franchises in the gutter of late, Konami is desperate for game concepts that anyone would actually buy. They just greenlighted the project on the basis of your comment alone.

Metal Gear Solid 6: Fuck It, I'm Tired of This Shit

Even Kojima is tired of Metal Gear Solid sequels. How many times can we save the world from nuclear apocalypse? It's about time global leaders took some fucking responsibility to develop effective safeguards against the ever-present threat of omnicide. It's a little much to ask one genetically optimal man to

Hi Matt, thank you for your very aggressive response.

As long as Square is still in the game (no pun intended), they and other Japanese gaming incumbents represent a significant barrier to other, more innovative developers considering an investment in a JRPG or similar game. It's difficult to compete with their well-defined brand and marketing without an existing

"So if you were in charge of a business would you choose to concentrate on the smaller DLC and and have a large one on the back bunner, or would you put all the resources into the large DLC?"

Maybe - Bethesda is a private company so who knows what their cash flow looks like. But unless it's a cash flow concern, they can make money on better quality DLC by charging more. I'd pay for that. I WON'T pay for something like Dawnguard, even if the price tag is very cheap.

I just hope Squenix (Squeidos?) gets shut down before they're finished butchering my childhood

lol

I've seen worse DLC, but I expect a lot from Bethesda, particularly since I always buy their games right at release. A game that I play for 6 hours might be able to get away with short, shitty DLC. A game that I've played for over 100 hours needs something more value-adding.

Battered person syndrome

I agree it takes a long time to make content like Shivering Isles, which is all the more reason that distractions like Dawnguard are irritating to me. DLC is a price discrimination game and ultimately any smart company will try to make a quick and easy dollar off of desperate fanatics before they deliver a compelling

Fair enough - but Bethesda still could have been more up-front about releasing short installments prior to any significant expansions. While I somewhat appreciate that Bethesda is trying to add depth to Skyrim's gameplay with its minor DLC, the bread and butter of TES is its environments, so failing to expand those

Well I don't buy shitty base games in the first place so CoD and Capcom DLC don't affect me.

The first step to healing is acceptance. You are forgiven...asshole.

What happened to Bethesda's promises of big, value-packed DLC? When they first talked about Skyrim's DLC strategy, I thought for sure we were getting another Shivering Isles, which is hands-down in my opinion the best DLC I have ever played. Instead, we are getting Fallout-3-style linear mini quests that add little
