Ugh, fair enough, let's call it "truck based" vs "car based." There's no denying a car like this is a completely different animal from the Jeep wagons of old.

The ST interior is the same as that on my Focus Titanium hatchback, aside from the additional gauges above the screen. I really like that interior. Makes me feel like I'm strapping on a spaceship.
You do know that your XJ is a monocoque, right?
+1. Ford does this, and it looks great. Look at the Focus. The air vents straddle the touch screen, and does not stick up too high.
I do like the dash in my ST as well (though it's the ST2, not the ST3 pictured). My only complaint is that I would have liked a few more audio buttons in the Sony part. Or maybe some more useful ones...
Definitely an improvement. And to be fair to the Fiesta, adding a screen for MFT actually was an afterthought. The dash was designed for the European market back in 2008.
My god, it's like a damned water ballet.
Last time I tried to use my dinner fork as an ax, I wasn't impressed.
What does body-on-frame have to do with anything? VERY few SUVs, including the Landcruiser are designed to carry literally a TON of bricks. What you did was unsafe. The outback was designed to drive around town and also be a utility vehicle. It's a great car for what it is. Body-on-frame would not have changed that…
I don't understand how you can legitimately talk about performance figures as if they really exist when the car only exists as a drawing.
You put the weight equivalent of 10 large adult men in the back of your vehicle and you expected something else? This deserves to be mocked, not shown as a shortcoming of the Outback.
jokes on me? jokes on you, you own a cobalt
You are a tool. /thread.
Agreed. This is not a wagon. It's a crossover with wagon proportions. These things are HUGE!
Mr. Collins, I've driven the Outback, the Outback was a good friend of mine. This car is no Outback.
Well, as an attorney, I have seen cases like these. The drawback is attorneys have to get paid somehow. Hourly, probably $300-$400, at least, or on a contingency, around 30%, plus costs. To hire an attorney for something like this hourly, he would have to drop at least 5k up front. Contingency, he would owe…
Check your facts before you make yourself look like an ass. If you did a little reading, or payed attention to the video, he wants full reimbursement or a new identical car. Porsche and Lemon Law are only offering him what the used value is. And, with that kind of attitude about certain types of drivers, I don't think…
