You should have just left that at “To be fair, a bad alternator is kind of like being pregnant.”

Mythbusters did it. It just made a ton of noise and wouldn’t go into gear.

Can confirm that a ‘96 300ZX will grind if you try to put it in reverse at speed. That was a rude awakening coming from a 6-speed Focus ST to the Z.

Taller and squatter and different and every way, yes, I agree.

........What?

I agree, it’s pretty badass.

Not double clutching like you should

I’ll withhold judgement on that until I see it in white. The pre-facelift car looked awesome in white.

Agreed. I went from “Eeewwww nooo” to “Damn, OK that looks pretty fucking good.”

Unless you do cams or something else major, there’s just no way you’re getting that much of a gain from these engines while keeping them NA. I work in the aftermarket parts/tuning industry, and this engine in particular needs quite a bit of massaging to get anything more out of it. Ford did a pretty good job squeezing

We’re not talking of all engines at any budget, we’re talking about two specific engines and their initial tuneability for the average Joe.

Slightly off topic, but it reminded me of the standard plate my buddy was issued for his project car. I’m changing some letters here, but the gist is the plate is along the lines of:

Yes.

To you it does, maybe. To me the difference is subtle, but immediately noticeable and (despite my initial feelings yesterday) very welcome.

Underrated comment right here.

Damn. Looks excellent from that angle.

People keep saying that but I am not seeing it. At. All. Not even a little bit.

I’m with your friend. You can call it fast. With a tune these will outrun a GT from not too long ago. That is a fast car.
