These dudes are hilarious. I haven’t skated in at least 10 years, but I watch a ton of their videos.

“AC blows mold”
But I still haven’t gotten his autograph yet!
New word learned today: Frangible.
But that’s at the max of its towing capacity, haha! The truck here has 100lbs-feet more torque than your 4.2 Trailblazer, and 50 more horses. That’s a huge difference — 20% more horsepower and 35% more torque, in fact.
Low horsepower? First of all, I think you want to be more worried about torque, and second of all, man are we spoiled these days...
You have fine taste, sir! It’s lifted a bit already, big tires, some other goodies. Build thread here if you’re interested:
I doubt they knew they were Jeep parts, honestly. Just saw a package and figured they could probably sell what ever was in it.
Yes, you’re correct it’s the same engine (with a few small changes). No gain, I just bought the Allroad with a blown motor (timing belt snapped), and bought the S4 engine to drop in to replace it.
Very true. The service position is much easier on the Allroad/C5 A6 luckily. The front end actually swings out on a hinge, it’s weird.
Repairs are definitely doable yourself. You just need a few specialized tools and an internet connection. I just did the dreaded timing belt service on on S4 engine that I’m swapping into my Allroad.
Do you really want bigger turbos though? KO4s seem like a sweet spot for driveability and *ahem* “reliablity”
Wait, how much?
*sigh* Minus a ‘was’ and ‘steel’, not ‘steal’.
It was a dark and stormy night. The little Mustang was was roaming through a crowd-desert and beginning to see crowd-mirages with increasing regularity. After traveling miles and miles of endless road, and desperate to satiate its thirst for the blood of the innocent, he made a sudden swerve to invoke the Sacred Rite…
Interesting thought, thanks for that!
It’s not like they get their tires at Discount Tire down the street. They use specialized rally tires, and 15" is the standard size. This also makes sense for a rally school, so they only have to buy one size for all their cars.
More sidewall > stronger brakes.
Think of it this way: It’s the bare minimum modifications they can make to a car and have it be safe for this sort of driving.
Oooh yeahhhh, I heard someone on some podcast talk about that but I forgot about the name. Thanks for that!
