I’ve never seen someone shoot themselves in the foot so many times in so few paragraphs. That he thought this would be a positive is... well, just further proof he’s a total ass.

I had to read the article several times to understand the headline. Very confusing.

Absolutely. Shame that the folks that think as you do are few and far between. You’d think that there was something here, with all the noise we’re making, but we’re a very vocal minority.

Violence.  And I’m all for it.

Maybe, but you still remove the original tumor.  You sure as shit don’t just leave it there to continue metastasizing.  There’s no path to wellness that doesn’t involve excision of the original source of the infection.

At a base level I feel like there can be economic value in providing for actual digital scarcity.”

You feel.

You. Feel.

I’d like to hear a non-crackpot or buzzword filled argument in favor of NFTs, because I’m not sure what that would be.

Wow, nice huge pixel width link Konami. Is that what the lucky winner gets “ownership” of? Hope no one right-clicks saves-as:

So? Why is that a problem? He isn’t selling any Crytek code or assets, all original code.

I...huh? Also, more often than not the decision to put in microtransactions in video games is on the publisher. The actual people who make the game often have nothing to do with that, but get shit on because they’re the public face for the game.

So since I don’t play FFXIV I decided to Google it from what I can see there’s some form of micro transaction that you can use to buy vanity. The only gamling seems to be at the Gold Saucer where you play mini games that gives you points that you can redeem for rewards, like an arcade.

I mean, nothing gives you the right to attack someone online because of trivial matters. You can have a discussion about those topics without trying to hurt the other person as well.

What an insipid way to say that class and corporate solidarity mean more to them than advocating for human rights in their industry.

I don’t know if I’d consider it so much a virtue as opposed to the bare minimum of moral responsibility.

In some ways it’s the opposite of blocking. In Street Fighter games you hold the direction away from your opponent in order to block their attacks, but you still suffer a sliver of damage (this is called chip damage). Blocking also has the problem that when you block, you suffer “blockstun” which means that for a
