The problem with vigilance is those who seek to screw you over will always hope you sit one - just one - protest out. That you’ll be too tired of making the calls, of putting in the work, of sending the emails. To make you feel like it’s pointless, that defeat is inevitable.

... I think we made a mistake electing this guy. Shocking, I know.

It seems like a lifetime ago that Bungie’s idea for “long-term player interest” was just having a good game that was so much fun to play that people just, you know, played it.

I’m sure Mister Rogers would just calmly explain that they’re just kids who lack the validation and affirmation they deserve at home, and thus lash out through artificial means for any form of control to offset the unhappiness they feel in their private lives.

Just a friendly reminder than for you to go and VOTE in the midterms... and to mobilize your friends and family to do the same. We can’t be passive about this one.

I think “ultimate success” IS happiness and self-contentment though, is it not? It’s not just any other kind of success. The end goal of money and power is the belief it’ll make you happier and more self-content, no?

The progression system is STILL terrible. It’s just 25% as terrible as they initially planned.

Death threats and blind insults only create angry noise that prevents the sensible, rational arguments against bad ideas from being heard.

That’s unfortunately not how psychology works. Knowing people who struggle with gambling addictions, or who struggle with OCD, or who have other forms of psychological dependencies, you can’t just “free will” yourself to an okay state. I wish it was that simple, but that’s not how people work.

The sad thing is most players will buy the games in spite of the loot boxes, but not because of the loot boxes.
