Dear anyone who thinks shit like this is OK.

A gun still isn’t a non-lethal stopping device. Juries still have brains (I hope, even in South Carolina).

The notion that a jury would find shooting at some a “means to bring someone to a stop” in a non-lethal manner is literally laughable.

First off, I do understand that life in prison is still on the table. Which, OK, but that’s a discretionary assessment to made by a judge, and not a jury. I also (mostly) understand the ramifications of pleading guilty to a federal civil rights charge in this situation (however I do still wonder about indemnification

Eh, the policy 4 years ago was a bit different than it is now. But I still know (professional, degree required) jobs where this is true.

I tend to agree with this in general, that many people get much more car than they need. However I have generally tried not to.
