No, you don’t “blame the era.” You blame the people for not being competent. During the Manning era, you had a great QB, but also a very competent coach and Hall of Fame GM. Now you have a good QB and shakiness at GM and coach. What the hell is hard to understand about that?

How quarterbacks are ranked and whether they fall into the category of “good” or “great” is immaterial. Luck is a fully capable NFL quarterback and I believe it would be nonsensical to argue otherwise.
