Honestly I was surprised by how it performs its not a racecar but it has enough power to merge in traffic and gets up to highway speeds quickly enough.  Rev hang is a bit of a pain but it can be tuned out and double clutch works just as well if you are quick with your feet.

The Subaru Brat had the seats in the back, the Baja was just a UTE.

The base model Impreza, it can be had as a manual hatch for under $20k brand new, has Subaru’s awd is quite comfortable even with no frills a few little mods (resonated axel back exhaust, short shifter, and pitch stop mount) and its an absolute joy , in any weather, on my 140 mi. round trip commute.

If I remember correctly the Demon does not have back seats and even adding a passenger seat was an option

My current project car is a 93 Volvo 240 Classic wagon. Why did you have to share this knowledge with me

or a capacitive touch sensor that when you grab the sides of the travel mug it closes the circuit and releases the magnets.

Noone around here is likely to know the real answer as buying a brand new car is one of the highest jalopnik sins.  Everyone know that if you buy a car before it hits 100k miles you’re a sucker on the wrong side of the depreciation curve....

said no-one ever.....your jalop card is hereby revoked.

These cars area blast to drive and the LNF has potential to make close to 400hp with bolt-ons and a tune. However they also break frequently, water pump and timing chain are fatal flaws. If this had been blessed with an LS swap (which various kits exist) it would be NP all day. But this body kit is an abomination and

but but but its like a modern s-10, el camino mashup of my dreams. Just need to stuff an ls in it

Also as someone who filed bankruptcy 2 years ago but still has aprox $80k in student loan debt what are my options moving forward?  I was told when I went through the process that discharging student loan debt was not possible at all.

I am not opposed to combining both forms of drag racing!

I guess that’s acceptable, I know that based on location and means everyones circumstances are different I respect different avenues for enthusiasts.

A real enthusiast would share their passion with their kids and make wrenching a family project....

This!  I agree my hatred for them is unreasonable.  I love my 95 Legacy Wagon as a daily driver.  AWD, wagon, with roof racks and the ability to use the roof like a truck bed! All while being low to the ground.

Yes that was when I first got her you can also see my solstice in the background of the second picture

I had an 09 G6 GXP sedan looked waaaaay better than the coupe.  The 3.6 had a ton of torque steer if you stomped on the gas but it was comfortable and fun enough. I miss it dearly

I can attest to this but also attest that over 80k miles the lnf likes to have turbo issues

I highly recommend watching it with the director commentary it touches on a lot of the same stuff in this article and points out some of the smaller background details that one might miss unless you've watched it 20 plus times.  I only watched this because B-level action and sci-fi are my jam and also I unashamedly
