all this did was make me miss my 2021 Impreza base, hatchback, 5mt, got about 30mpg combined and it was a great car. I got an absurd trade in value on it last summer so I traded it in for our family 22' Sienna for $6k more than I bought it for new and I had put over 44k miles on it.

I think it will give dealers the idea that they can tack on a huge premium as there are limited options for manual vehicles these days.

Also the toyota setup has the engine also connected to the front electric motor to also generate power to recharge the battery. The E-Ray system doesn’t put a parasitic load on the ICE to recharge the battery.

Yup our family car (22' Sienna) has an optional EV mode but if you get on the gas to much or get over 25mph it kicks the engine on.  I have driven a mile or so down the road in EV mode before I had to get up about 30mph

Back in high school my girlfriends dad would always get me tools for anything, birthday, Christmas, Easter, etc. its how I started my tool collection.

It’s incredible, I was a pontiac/gm guy and then a subaru guy after pontiacs demise but now I think we are going to end up being a Toyota family.  For the price there is no other minivan option that comes close that offers everything the Sienna does.

This!   We have the a 22 Sienna and its awesome.  I just drove it in the snow for the first time today and it felt like I was driving my 21' Impreza.  The hybrid AWD powertrain is awesome and it still gets 38mpg.  I admittedly was trying to break traction and the AWD did a great job at redistributing power where it

I can attest to this we bought a 22 Sienna earlier this year and it has made me actually consider a prius for my commuter (typically I keep an older subaru for that duty but I’m currently in a 2012 Mazda 3 that I hate) the hybrid awd in the sienna is getting us about 38mpg on average and it drives great.

We are slowly getting there.  We are a PHEV and ICE shitbox family at present.  I am seriously investigating what it would take to turn my project car into an EV before I start buying parts for my LS swap.  Good thing I am broke at the moment so I have plenty of time to agonize over the details.

I feel the same way about the Sienna we bought for my wife earlier this year. I absolutely love it, the styling is just right, it gets 40mpg, drives much smoother than any minivan should (in my mind) I am excited for first snow so I can test out the AWD.

Yes but I enjoy my wife’s 22' Sienna so much that I might actively attempt to convince her the GR Corolla is a responsible daily commuter for me....

Yes but for a fun manual awd car that I can commute in and stuff the kids in when needed I am thrilled at this.  I loved my 21 Impreza hatch 5mt but got to good of an offer (made $6k after putting 40k miles on it) that I am now in a beater Mazda 3i hatch for the next year or two and this thing is at the top of my

They never made a GTO GXP.   GXP trim was appointed to Grand Prix, Torrent, G6, G8, and Solstice.    I have an 07 Solstice GXP which is an absolute blast and mine will be receiving an LS swap soon.

Does this mean that there will be an influx of cheap delicas that are accessible to those of us in a much more sensible bordering state?  Also couldn’t the owners just take the route of registering them in VT as has been documented on this site in the past?

the base model was extremely underpowered but atleast it has the 5spd transmission but the GXP trim is the one you want. This is way overpriced for what this is.

Do we finally get to cancel this dumbass? His takes are dumb, he’s always yelling and irritable. Hearing his voice makes my hair stands on end and triggers a physiological response akin to that of a dog that has been beaten one to many times.

Honestly I was surprised by how it performs its not a racecar but it has enough power to merge in traffic and gets up to highway speeds quickly enough.  Rev hang is a bit of a pain but it can be tuned out and double clutch works just as well if you are quick with your feet.

The Subaru Brat had the seats in the back, the Baja was just a UTE.

The base model Impreza, it can be had as a manual hatch for under $20k brand new, has Subaru’s awd is quite comfortable even with no frills a few little mods (resonated axel back exhaust, short shifter, and pitch stop mount) and its an absolute joy , in any weather, on my 140 mi. round trip commute.

If I remember correctly the Demon does not have back seats and even adding a passenger seat was an option
