Dave Ramsey says to pay off one’s smallest debts first. He thinks the psychological benefit of clearing a debt is more important than the interest rates involved. I disagree with him on that, though I hate to disagree with a fellow Dave.

Good work!

Commas save lives.

You can “OK Boomer” me all you want, but when I text a complete sentence, it will have have punctuation at the end. Often that’s a period. Of course, sometimes a text is just “No” or “OK”, which doesn’t need punctuation. I’m also weird in that generally I proofread texts before I send them. It used to be important to

From Wikipedia on Minneapolis:

My first thought is the Beach Boys parody song:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ALYoQ_-5sUI

My daughter did something like this for her kids for Christmas a few years ago, though the reading was audio only. She collected about 20 reads from various aunts and uncles and grandparents and so on, and the younger kids still love listening to them, I’m told. A couple of Pooh stories read by the kids’

Self-cleaning ovens are a lifesaver! Don’t most stoves come with them these days? I read once that they pay for themselves in energy savings since they have to be so much better insulated to withstand the high heat of the cleaning cycle. I certainly wouldn’t buy a stove without self-cleaning. If your oven gets as

I used to be an Apple fan. That was back in the 80's, when I had my Apple IIe, when Apple was the little guy fighting big bad IBM. Now they’re orders of magnitude worse than big bad IBM ever was.

First thing I noticed too, but you commented in such an elegant manner! Have a star!

What, no mention of one of the greatest poets of the 20th Century, Dr. Seuss?

I don’t know for sure what is meant by a “clay pot”? Would this include a traditional crock pot?

That very Circle K happens to be one I fill at sometimes. If I’m in the vicinity I prefer to fill at Costco. It’s about about 8 miles from the Circle K, but currently 55¢/gal cheaper. I don’t know how they can charge so much in Boulder &/or so little at Costco.

I fail to see why I would want one of those.

Seldom has Acronym Finder failed me, but it did in this case. My best guess was Best Day Ever. (And yes, I know that BDE technically isn’t an acronym, that being a word that can be pronounced, like radar or scuba, but that’s what they call their website.)

Something to keep in mind: We’ll be electing a President, not a King. Ms. Warren’s promises about student loans notwithstanding, the President can’t do that much, as least as regards finances, without approval by Congress. He/She (I refuse to use “they” for the singular) could start a war, but that’s another discussion

I did too. After that I found I couldn’t reply to it, which was why I replied to Ed Cara.

My income varies greatly from one pay period to another. So I’m over-withheld sometimes and under-withheld other times. It sort of works out in the end. My wish would be to specify a percentage to be withheld for Federal and another for State taxes. But alas . . .

After reading the piece I came here to the comments to see what life-threatening nonsense the anti-vaxxers would spew forth. I was sad but not surprised to see the first reply, by jeanlucpickerd, is such lying dangerous stuff. We want Facebook to ban false horribly misleading posts, how about doing the same here,

No.  That was certainly the first thing I thought of (typical male).
