Look, the American election does impact us Canadians. A lot. And this is, hands down, the worst election I’ve ever seen.

Better article than I expected.

Here’s a good example of a bad drm system: mass effect 2 on PC.

Came here to make sure this was said.

“Yes, let’s character assassinate one candidate we don’t like and not the other (who should be up on a lot of criminal/treason charges), forget all forms of ethical journalism”

TLA is indeed one of the best. And toph is made of pure win.

Bitter old retired vet here. I’ve kept in touch with a lot of other eve vets, and very few play anymore.

I feel the need to point out that while yes, the game was hard, it was built around party adventuring. Very few classes were capable of levelling up solo, because there was little to no reward (and a ton more risk) in killing something solo (20xp for a very easy challenge rated mob that you *might* kill one every 5

I draw a distinction between white savior and “goes native” storylines.

Dead on with why SR2 was great. I picked it up years late in a bargain bin expecting a silly GTA knockoff, and got, as you said, one of the most memorable personal video game experiences of my life. Amazing writing.

They *still* don’t seem to understand one simple fact.

I truly do not get why all these mmos do these horrific vertical progression 1-60 (1000x) level scaling mechanics.

...except EVERYBODY suspects the 40k Inquisition.

I *like* negative reviews. Often it is much more informative as to if I will or will not like a game than some 96% score.

You won’t find one because there isn’t a serious player that is unaffected by them in some way (even if it’s as secondary effects like having to buy goods at the manipulated prices or something).

Short version, the game has a subscription fee, and there is no paywalls for content (you can, in a roundabout way, buy money, but the ship your flying is much less important than knowing what your doing with it.)
