Epic Store:
Epic Store:
So basically Epic pulled some shady and manipulative trickery and didn’t tell people ahead of time, and then when companies said, “Hold up! We didn’t agree to this!”, Epic tried to paint it as those companies being unreasonable?
Same here, honestly theirs enough games in my existing library and new games from smaller devs who also self publish that I should be playing.
Exclusives are a way of admitting you have a shit product.
First, the prime goal of any company, and especially big ones like EA, are about making money for their sharholders. And if improving your products (in this case, games) goes against making more money for shareholders, then that lofty goal of making a better product will just be shot down the drain.
“If we’re honest with ourselves, we’re not there right now.”
This is a difficult day. The changes we’re making today will impact about 350 roles in our 9,000-person company
And yet, executives gives themselves raises and bonuses.
Actually this is how free markets work. Leave them be until a rich white man gets upset.
I like interacting here on Kotaku, but this comes off as one of the more petty articles I’ve read. The man has conservative politics and he made a pretty good video game that is successful. This kind of snide disdain for what is obviously a labor of love is why games journalism isn’t taken seriously anymore.
Oh I get it, you’re an EA executive. That’s why you’re so hostile towards people that are justifiably angry with EA and cynical about what they’ll do in the future. Now it makes total sense why you’re a complete ass hole.
And all that was absurd even back then. It’s primarily why I just didn’t care about this one when it was announced. They tried to sucker consumers in with a barebones game for close to $120. That is obnoxious and what came after didn’t justify it either.
Wow man, really helping your cause. I guess I will continue to be a “worthless white person”. With shit like this racism will exist forever and I no longer care.
what can i say im a glass half-full kinda guy.
I’m shocked! SHOCKED!! Well not that shocked...
I liked the earlier SR games, but had zero interests in AOM. Not really surprised it bombed either, as it didn’t seem to have much word or mouth.
I liked agents of mayhem, it was a fun game with great intercharacter banter. The problem is I had no idea what the game was until I saw someone actually playing it. I thought it was an mmo, or an Overwatch type of game the entire time, not a semi sequel to saints row
Blame game’s marketing, I’m a guy who is interested in video games and read about them, but still has no fuckin idea what is this game about.
“And embedded in both parties is a constant reassurance, via the show’s various deep-cut references and in-universe in-jokes, that they are the ones who ‘get’ it. They are the chosen few who grasp the nerd-dom it celebrates in the correct way.”
It sounds like you know how stupid this type of thinking is, and then you…
The lack of Redline is disturbing.
