This is why I’m scared of buying cars. Unless you have a pro-level ear, unless you can literally hear issues from small changes in sound, you’re opening yourself up to tons of opportunities to get screwed.

Tangentially relevant, but that AC-or-power-steering choice is quite the dilemma. As someone who had to forgo a power steering repair for a couple months, I’d take it over the AC. There are much better ways to improve muscle mass, and worst case, I’m sure there are portable AC units.

I think Waymo could sit back on its haunches and just continue developing the tech for a bit. They have a firehose of Alphabet cash to do it right and get an edge on the competition.
