Maybe it's timing... I get the saturation fine, but it takes me so damn long to get the dye on (I think I might be doing it wrong) that I feel like half my head is sitting in dye for significantly longer than the other half. On the other hand, my patchiness isn't one side vs. the other but overall light spots.

I've used Feria with good results (so true on the murder victim thing though!) my only problem(s) were that once it turned it really different from the shade on the box (that was with red velvet) and that the others kind of turn out patchy. Have you ever had a problem with that?

Ah! Do you like it?? Feria fades, but I find that it usually fades nicely. Like I have a week of really bright red, then a nice vibrant red that I love, then it gradually fades to a light-brown red.
