I bet that's it. Kind of like how Tyra never lets the prettiest black girl win ANTM because she doesn't want competition. Or at least that's how it used to seem; I stopped watching a long time ago.

Generally the shows that follow one person's life or one family's life are super scripted (your Kardashians, your Real Housewives, etc). The ones where you put a bunch of people in a house together and film them every second are less scripted, but house members are chosen for maximum drama. The competition shows

I can't take credit. I've done it since I found the feministing website.

Good for you. What was her reaction?

That sounds super annoying. I doubt he would have identified as a feminist before we met, I don't think he really knew much about it, but he's a very open-minded person, so none of the stupid stereotypes really stuck with him.

It's so nice when they try though isn't it?

We are not the same, because we don't all face the same struggles. That's what we need to remember right now. This is not a time for white people to be upset that the system that favors us all the time is being called out. It's time for us to prove we're not racists, instead of people of color having to constantly try

Oh I love that. I might start doing that.

I KNOW. I try so damn hard to keep from infringing on other people's comfort, and I still regularly get shit from strangers.

Wow. I think that's the way it should be if mothers want that (I feel like I'd want to just be home with my baby, but I really, really hate hospitals and having people watching over me all the time) and it saddens me that it's not been the norm for a lot of women I know.

I always appreciate it!

Right?! Sometimes I pretend I haven't seen it already... That's okay right?

That's really interesting! I noticed a long time ago that the way I perceive everything can be affected if I've been focusing on one thing or another for a long time.

I think whether or not they care about racial injustice has more to do with the culture of the school than size. My school (around 1300) cares immensely. We're also super diverse though.

My bf sent me this article a couple days ago and was so proud of himself for finding it before I read it on Jezebel. He tries so hard to feminist with me and find new things, and I've always already heard them.

David Tutera taught me that Escort Cards are something that tells you what table you're at, and then place cards are at your seat at the actual table. Lots of people do cutesy things with them. I've seen (on the pinterest wedding tag, I'm one of those) them pinned/tied to mason jars as guests enter the reception

I fucking hate it when people tell me to stop smoking. "That's bad for you" oh my God really? I had no idea!

Other people have suggested elimination diets and food journaling and I'm going to second all of them. That's the way you really should do it, and go to a doctor.

Yes, we can.

Actually, he's also a contributor for CNN.
