I can't help but wonder if the Supreme Court released their decisions strategically so that a) it would seem like they were "respecting" states rights by giving control of voting back to the states, taking the federal government out of marriage, and sending Prop 8 back to state courts and b) DOMA's repeal's

Howard Zinn is among my personal heroes.

Ugh. I'm so sorry. Can you speak directly to your boss?

First of all - congrats on your wedding!

You're lucky, but you obviously know you're lucky. I don't think you should feel guilty!

Can you talk to HR?

This is the most useful conversation I've had all day. Thank you.

You're right, I did word it badly, I apologize. That is what I meant.

The relationship stuff between Kirstin Wiig and Maya Rudolph hit way too close to home for me.

It's hard. They really are a religious organization. They're closed on Sundays and have short hours good for people with families. They pay well and by all accounts I've heard are very nice to work for.

What about sales?

I hated Bridesmaids. It was mean and depressing and the bride was a bad friend and there was no resolution to that. I have seen lots of Sarkeesian's work and agree with her on some things and disagree on others. But I do it when I've seen the work in question, because blindly following what one person says is just as bad as blindly following anyone else.

You really don't know what you're talking about, it's becoming more evident with each post.

"Ear-bobs" Lindy I love you.

Doesn't it though? Maybe not as explicitly.

Have you.... watched the show? Because, while they may live in a patriarchal society (just like, well, everyone) the female characters are, for the most part, extremely complex and well-developed. Moreso than most female characters on tv. While few of them may have direct power, they are all powerful in some way (with
