The only real problem with these photos is that nobody bothered to tell him that the sun goes behind you.

The Buick Regal GS is a conundrum. It's not luxurious enough to be a Cadillac. It's not cheap enough to be Chevy. It's got big vents up front, but a small noise coming out the back. So what is it?

Yes. There are any number of ways that the author of such a website could claim First Amendment protection.

That sounds like a matter for the courts to decide. FYI, the Supreme Court has roundly rejected prior restraint.

Hint: The app isn't what's doing the buying, selling or leasing. The owner of the phone is doing that.

This app IS breaking the law

Wow. Prior restraint much?

Correct. By following at an unsafe distance, the cop is most likely trying to get you to speed up so he can pull you over for that.

A lot of progress in automated/autonomous systems has been made since Vietnam, arguably more than was made between WWI and Vietnam.

Or — what a concept! — the automakers could have come up with a feedback mechanism that conforms to basic human-factors design practice. What did those morons think people were going to do when their brake pedal started vibrating? They should have found a way to insulate the pedal from the ABS cycling action.

I don't suck at driving, I just don't have the situational awareness needed to negotiate a complex multilane roundabout like the one in the photo. (This is true of most people reading this, I'm just the only one who will admit it.) I shouldn't need to pass Top Gun school in order to drive on roads my taxes pay for.

You know what? That just might mean it's not a good traffic-control device.

Not much I can add to the descriptions already offered by H.P. Lovecraft.

Who exactly is/was the "United States Automobile Club"? You never see or hear anything about them except when a Corvette or a Chrysler is being advertised against some other car, at which point they are presented as some kind of ultimate authority of jalopiness, or whatever.

Ah, the 360: best-looking Mitsubishi ever, or worst-looking Ferrari.

Failed troll has failed

Not driving it very often is precisely what causes a lot of those fires and other spectacular incidents. Cars that aren't driven often don't get maintained. There are a lot of Ferraris running around with 10+ year-old fuel hoses...

That's a relatively fancy oscilloscope, and a relatively expensive one. You'd want to start with something much, much simpler.

(Shrug) 95% chance of major hail damage if I don't stop, 0.01% chance of being shoved out of the way by someone from a Michael Crichton pulp novel if I do. I like those odds.
