Not that I, as a gun owner, have much love for the NRA, but considering the kind of idiocy they have to go against within the anti-gun crowd, they need to pay the way as much as they can. I mean, come on, California has "evil features" written as words of law.
It's not a waste of money, It's going to make the lawyers rich beyond their wildest dreams. All thanks to their friend the Governor.
All it means is that a LOT of money will leave Michigan to buy these cars. Oh an the tax dollars will also leave Michigan as they will pay the other state's tax and claim the credit on their tax return.

I'm with you. I don't actually get why there's so much hate here. Yeah, it's kinda lame. But seems to me that's intentional. The awkward and embarrassing performances make it funny.
And customers agree, with Jeep's little Cherokee becoming the best-selling vehicle in the lineup in the first year on its way to 170,000 annual sales. Despite the botched launch. Despite the transmission issues. Despite the face. Despite the fact that it's not "a real Jeep" in the eyes of some.
Mass transit, like literally every other form of transportation, is subsidized in part by the government. The difference for mass transit is that they're almost always in the negative because they don't charge a fair equivalent to their costs (nor should they), so moves like this are great.
At this point it seems like the less a car is a "real" example of a brand the better it will do. All of those BMWs, Porsches, and Jeeps that are supposedly the opposite of what their brand represents are doing just fine. We live in world of aluminum pick ups and automatic Ferraris sacred cows make delicious profit…
