If there's a tornado, you're actually safer if you don't park under an overpass. If there's not, well, you're probably not going to die from getting hailed on.

Yeah, it sounds like this debate will be settled by whether your engine is more self-important than my brakes.
Deal with it.
Sure would be nice to have a downvote button on this site.
Gee, Bob, I imagine that would depend on how unsafe the car is. It's almost as if the invisible hand of the market would address this problem without sticking a gun in anyone's back.
They have more guns than we do. They can mandate what they want.
Gotta say this is my outlook as well. I won't be the last car that blocks the last lane under the overpass but I'll do everything otherwise possible to keep from getting hailed on. Asshat, hero, whatever. I'm the guy with the intact sheetmetal.
This. Not exactly a rare model, or an unusually expensive one. Basically this guy got greedy and tried to save one buck too many.
Safe to say those tire marks didn't exist outside of someone's video workstation, deep in the bowels of whatever agency put the clip together for VAG.
Good point, but mine still stands.
PDK is why the Cayman is faster with less power.
Amen. Getting rid of that stupid yellow horse on the side makes all the difference.
The ones in the Porsche aren't that great. (Source: owner)
The Cayman's performance advantage is due to its seven-speed PDK. Nobody with a manual gated shifter is going to be competitive with that, unless they have a lot more than 20% more torque to work with.
True, I think the 987-generation Caymans looked better than the Boxsters, but that just means they left some room for improvement in the Boxster. In the 981 generation, the Boxster really came into its own, while it's clear that the 987 era was the end of the line for the Cayman as far as its styling is concerned.
Time travel, duh
And then there's his arch-nemesis, Lone Axe.
Depends on the licensing terms with Michael Bay that are in effect at the time of deployment.
Smaller government, except more Jeebus.
Question: do you want your next car or bike to cost more because the manufacturer allows itself to be abused by idiots who deny evolution, cosmology, and aerodynamics? I don't.
