The next one.

Don't rent a 981 unless you're prepared to buy one.

Correct, it doesn't apply. Like the rest of the Bill of Rights, the First Amendment only talks about what the government is permitted to do. You can still sign contracts with private entities that include penalties for disclosing information.

The First Amendment does not work that way.

It's on the current issue of Panorama (the PCA member magazine), in a shot that's got to be one of the top ten all-time best magazine covers of any sort. Very photogenic car.

The nice thing about the JK is that it's up to date where it counts — in the powertrain and handling department — but minimalistic elsewhere. Everything modern about the vehicle is well-hidden. The thing just radiates engineering honesty.

That's what people are missing. This guy is not a chronic bitcher. He was one of the company's biggest unpaid evangelists on Rennlist. He only started complaining when it was obvious that he was getting treated like a disgruntled GM customer.

You're missing some context. Over on Rennlist where this particular shitstorm had its genesis, Nick was known for being an enthusiastic proponent of all things 991. When the trouble started, he had already made several videos talking about the options and features he'd ordered in his car — videos that had been

But of course it's entirely cromulent for Porsche to leverage Facebook and Twitter and other social media to the hilt. It's just their customers who aren't supposed to use those tools. Right?

The problem is, the Miata has so little power that it's frustrating to drive on today's roads (if not occasionally downright dangerous), where bargain-basement Hyundais have as much power as a Ferrari did when the Miata was introduced.

But that hasn't stopped you from issuing your opinion, I see.

Hopefully, most of the people asking him "How do I get to be an engineer for GM?" are smart enough not to ask a question like that.

Visibility is a huge deal. GM doesn't get anywhere near as much crap for that as they deserve. If I wanted to ride around in a tank, I'd go to an Army surplus auction, and not a Chevy dealer.

True up until the 991, maybe, but a 991 Turbo cab is a damn nice looking car. It actually looks like it was designed to look the way it does, if that makes any sense.

You misspelled 'luck.'

Then they need to hire somebody who can design an LCD installation that doesn't look like one.

Man, those pop-up LCD screens look stupid.

Flashblock is your friend...

Targas made sense when the cabriolet roofs were unsafe, flimsy contraptions. They aren't anymore... so I don't get the Targa at all.

She's not very good. You don't smile at your own joke, or if you do, you don't smile at all of your own jokes.
