Yeah, it was all downhill once they got rid of the ducks.

Think Ahura-Mazda, the bringer of light.
That's the grade the designer got.
Why not just buy a Corvette or Camaro if you want an LSsomething?
No, people were trying literally everything they could think of, if only to work around other peoples' patents. Petrol won.
Yeah, it's almost as if petroleum is pretty much the perfect thing to run cars on, and everything else sucks in one way or another.
Yes, the sound of a seized tensioner followed by a snapping cam belt is one of the most tear-jerking sounds in all of autodom.
It wanted to be found.
Yeah, these people should be featured on 'Wild Kingdom', not Jalopnik.
I definitely have similar constraints — for instance, out of your list, a Gallardo at the price of a new 981S is the most appealing alternative to me. But having owned a couple of older Ferraris I've learned that you need to set aside about 50% more than the sale price to handle various disasters when it comes to…
None taken, believe me. :)
People from Chicago and Fairbanks and Novaya Zemlya and other frozen hellholes don't understand that temperatures around 30-35 degrees with intermittent light precipitation are the most dangerous conditions of all. I would rather drive through two feet of snow than deal with the kind of multilayered snow/ice strata…
Kim Jong Il called. He wants his sunglasses back.
(Sorry, misread the comment)
Like a Miata!
About $3000 according to the Jalopnik reviews ($63800 base MSRP for the Cayman S reviewed in August 2013 versus $60900 for the Boxster S reviewed in June).
Strangely, the Cayman is actually more expensive. I don't know if that was always true, but it is for the 981 cars. They are both quite a bit more rigid than the 987s were, so the choice is just a matter of personal preference. The Boxster is really more like a hardtop convertible that just happens to have a cloth…
That's the whole problem — lots of people have driven the previous generation cars and assume the new ones are just another overgrown Miata, while at the same time many who have driven the new ones like them better than the current-gen 911s. I'm in the latter group.
