This. When I traded in my NB Miata, I spent more time digging coins out of the cupholders than I did on the paperwork at the dealership.

Your general rule sucks.

Sorry, I misspoke - I meant 964 Turbo. The Cayman S has the same 0-60 time as a base 997.

For one thing, a 981S Cayman is about as quick as a 993 turbo was. Few people who have driven one would describe it as "really not that fast."

Drive one.

I bought my '13 Boxster (almost identical to the one posted above) with a check that I'd already earmarked for a 911. The 981 is that good.

Perhaps. I've never driven any DCTs except for the (current generation) PDK in my own car, so can't say what the others feel like.

So, reading both of your posts together in context, driving a PDK in traffic is "the most annoying thing ever" in your view?

Um, the self-important CEO pricks are back in their leather-upholstered suites plotting mergers and acquisitions and counting their stock options. The CEO in this video is actually doing his job.

True, and this video makes me think that Porsche might be in good hands after all.

I can see the Downfall spoof video now: "Das war ein Befehl! Die ruhige Lenksäule war ein Befehl!"

Try a PDK sometime.

I recall at least one Jalop article quoting an auto exec as saying that the rich are a growth market. What a laugh

So make an appointment. They waste your time, you waste theirs, it's the L. A. Way.

Aluminum PDK shift knobs are worth more than their weight in cocaine, so yeah, probably.

Earn driver's license, then post.

Ever see a Boxster?

It weighs more than the cabriolet, and certainly won't offer any more than the cab's (already excellent) chassis rigidity. I don't understand why the Targa exists.

Also, consider the prank potential of removing the bolts from the articulated rear glass support struts.
