Actually, that sounds like a fun conversation for a dinner party. (I’m really not great at small talk, but one of my favorite, most reliable ways of connecting with someone is asking them about their job or their geeky interests.)

It is astounding the crap I see parents let their kids do in public. Stuff that had I done it, my parents would have literally killed me, then made another kid who looks just like me to replace me. And had fun doing the replacing!
