Have you discussed it with him before?

Advice/commiseration/funny gifs, please? Or freelance writing leads/info?

Jeez. Why not just buy one and draw on the two little lines? Saves you ten bucks at least. Also, I hope these are just being used for pranks, because anything else is just crazy.

Ooh, I think I know this one! You're just supposed to say it back, right? I know this is what my grandmother does, anyway.

Everyone who can donate, please do! I make my biannual PP donation every Christmas and tax refund season, because I like to support their legal fund, but there are many other ways to give.

The really exciting thing is that he wrote and directed this. I kinda can't wait to see if it's good or not.

I know, right?! Normally I just admire him for his talent and general awesomeness, and there's no attraction there. This is a game changer.

Click over to groupthink, people began talking about it there pretty much as soon as Miley's performance was over. But maybe we can expect an actual article about it later today?

Those are some really pretty hair pins. I especially like the sprite ones. Personally I'd like to see some made with autumn-y materials.

Oh, no. I just got back from seeing that movie, and I just have to say, you are not the Gary King!

Honestly it is really hard for me. There are really only two things that help.

You are not alone. I do this all the time, and I don't know why. Little sis doesn't come home one night when I'm pretty sure she's just at her boyfriend's place, but I didn't actually hear her say that? Can't get ahold of her via cell? Yeah, I'm convinced something bad happened to her. Note - this actually happened a

I don't know. Sometimes I read romance novels or historical novels for that reason - because it seems like the people in those books just have simpler, happier lives. And sometimes I think I would have liked to have lived fifty or sixty years ago, because despite all the social problems, it seems like life was easier

I'm sorry you're feeling isolated. Small town life can be brutal. I know it's not the same as hanging out with people irl, but you can always come and chat with us here on Jez :)

That sucks. It can be so hard to make new friends as an adult. I know the traditional advice for this is to join new clubs or try a new hobby to help you meet people, but I've had the same issues and I never seem to follow through with actually interacting with new people. Do you have coworkers you can hang out with?

Sounds like you're having a rough time now. I'm feeling pretty crappy atm too, so I'm not the best cheerer-upper, but you're welcome to talk more about what's going on with you if you want. *hugs*

That sounds like solid gold.

The thing about that trope is that those guys just do not exist. It's so sad, but all the cute farmer boys you remember from high school? Yeah, they are either married, or grew up fugly looking, or they turned out to be crazy racist.

Ahhh, that movie!! I watched that last year sometime in December at like six in the morning. I have such a love/hate relationship with that trope. Naturally, I hate it because it is such bullshit. But I find the movies that use it oddly calming to watch. It's weird.

Me too! Don't let anybody shame you for it. There is something so fun about watching this stuff. I LIVE for the Hallmark channel in December. The best part is always the slightly famous actors they toss in. John Laroquette as a crazy, matchmaking dad? Yes, please!
