I definitely agree about the Rick part. All season long they've shown Rick actively pursuing the more violent and dangerous courses of action. The look he gave Daryl when he disagreed with his plan to storm the hospital in force was like he was annoyed he could n't do it the quick dirty way.

This is the major divide between internet journalism and that of print media. An article in the news paper has to cite these things because all the information needs to be there in that publication. You don't want to send your reader off to a competitor to find the info.

I always thought it was safe to assume the Jango clones were out dated by the time of the originals. Despite the 'you're a little short for a storm trooper' line, they have different voices and are differect heights.

The prequels as a whole are pretty forgettable for me. A few things stand out but those things are mostly the unbelievably bad things.

They did that shot in the third film, more or less. It was in space though.

The only episode I really didn't like this season was the Beth-centric Hospital episode. If only because I don't really like the Dawn character at all. Not the least bit interested in her or her stupid hospital politics. If the mid-season finale ends with Beth dying I'm gonna be even more annoyed with this story line

seasons 2 and 3 specifically felt like a chore to watch on a weekly basis, but rewatching them a few episodes at a time was less annoying. Still annoying though. I think they both would have functioned better if they continued the 6 episode season, or 8. The stories themselves weren't bad, the just weren't told very

See, and those two details you mentioned aren't very out there for what's all ready been established in the Star Wars universe so far.

I'm not sure where you're gathering that any of these characters exist solely for merchandising. You could say the same thing about all of the new characters introduced in the prequels. Jar Jar, anyone? He's glorified comic relief made to sell plush dolls. It just feels like you're reaching for reasons to not like

So yeah...a glorified special effects extravaganza that makes a few cherry picked homages to ACTUAL fans

Disney can't do any worse for the franchise than Lucas himself did to it. And there were scores and scores of action figures, video games, books, comics, shitty cartoons, etc, before the prequels existed, and after.

uh... cute robots are bad for the franchise then? You mean like R2D2?

eh, a lot of people are shitting on the crossguard, but the prequels had a double edged lightsaber, so there's some precedent for ridiculous weapons. Despite your personal feelings towards the prequels (I like to pretend they don't exist myself), it's there. Besides the villain always gets a unique weapon, so if that

When they they did Star Wars teaser history I was reminded of downloading trailers too. Long before streaming was ever a realistic option. Good times..

I hate to make an argument for someone who seems to be judging a film, or at least ready to judge a film, based on 55 seconds of content, but the Phantom Menace teaser had a lot of good looking shots that, when seen in the context of the movie, were actually pretty bad. So, while I liked a lot of what I saw in the

I kind of hope Carl still gets fucked up in the show. I get why they axed the whole Rick losing his hand stuff (hur hur, get it?), what with it being a very limiting factor to the character, not to mention extra fx on every Rick shot, but Carl just had a bandage over his eye after his wound, and it twisted him up

If it were Piccolo they'd still be monologueing. Season 2 would have been some rapid punching, seasons 3 would have been more monologueing, continued into season 4, but with a cutaway or two to show what bulma and krillin are up to. Making season 5 here the end of the monologue, which means we'll be back to some rapid

All right.. so when it was announced that Fargo was getting a TV show adaption I thought it would be a cheap knockoff, then I read the cast list and gave it a chance and I really liked it. So, it should have built up some good graces for the whole 'movie gets a tv adaption' thing that's going on these days, but that

Well, that alone wouldn't bother me as much if they were as compelling as LotR was. The Shinning didn't follow the source material and it stood alone because it was an excellent film. The Hobbit leaned too heavily on Rings nostalgia.

The 'welcome back' scene where Frodo meets up with the Fellowship for the first time since the start in RotK is what gets me more from that movie. The varied reactions to each of his comrades really underlined the importance that each person had for Frodo. As much as I like Martin Freeman, Elijah Wood played a better
