You misunderstand, I'm arguing against both films getting another installment.

The difference there being that Jurassic World is a part of a franchise while Independence Day is just one movie. It doesn't become a franchise until they make more. My opinion is that it doesn't need another. It told and open and shut story, and sure, there's more to explore there, like what happens when word gets

So the water twist in Signs worked for you too then? Cause it's kind of the same weak idea.

Who do you know that's been clamoring for another Independence Day? I mean, can you honestly say you've ever thought to yourself "gee I wonder what happens next" besides after the rumor mill started say 'maaaaaaybe' JUST to build hype so they can sell the thing?

I know George R.R. has this chip on his shoulder about 'I'll write the next book when I wanna", but if he's got time to write an episode for this next season he's got time to write a chapter or two towards the next installment.

And yet you offer up no defense for the prequels? I don't want to hear why the originals are bad, I'm curious what about the prequels makes them good.

he'll never be a famous writer, that's for sure.

that was so blatant it was funny. The camera actually tracks her down just to pick up a picture for Glenn, like they were trying to say, 'hey, at least you've got something to look at now Walking Dead fans'.

mid-driftin' the apocalypse!

I dunno, the Dale/Andrea romance always weirded me out a bit.

The songs have definitely been super forced in the last decade or so. I didn't mind the songs on Tangled and the ones on Frozen are pretty all right too. I'd like to say I don't like musicals, and I don't really, but I still get the songs from Lion King, Aladdin, Little Mermaid, etc., stuck in my head from time to

Not everyone is in love with screens, or reading on screens.

A² + B² = C², is I think what they're driving at. Something about carrying the 1 was implied but not explicitly stated.

Am I the only one getting bored with the argument that the 'general public' wont get into this movie? Who said superhero/comic movies have to be broad.

Target market.

I liked the episode they were in, but their designs and motivations were pretty lame.

oh, yeah, that's the mind of a non-parent then. I wouldn't leave any kid behind no matter how annoying they are. I figure I'm gonna make damn sure I'm gonna survive and if I can fold a kid under my wing they'll grow up to accommodate me and my survival just as much as I'm gonna accommodate theirs. Compared to pairing

Patience dude, once they all reunite it wont be such disjointed storytelling. It's just cause they're all separated that it's giving that crowded feeling.

After the baby smothering scene I think Lizzie will try again to kill her later, get caught (in the nick of time no doubt, no baby killing on tv) and that'll set off the rest of what you've said.

The twins were some other random parents kids in the comics. The mom went down and the dad was too distraught to care for them, so he kind of 'death by walker'ed himself. Then Maggie and Glen adopted the two. I do agree that Lizzie and Mika are their TV counterparts though. Whether or not they'll actually have her
