I doubt that. Fatalities (for people in cars, not the people outside of them) are rarer in urban areas simply because speeds are lower. More fender benders, but fewer deaths. The majority of driver/passenger fatalities will happen in less congested areas.

There are SAE standards that *most* car companies adhere to. Same way ALDL connections are common across all cars with standard OBD-2 compliance and your gas fill caps are all a standard size. There is a standard charging connector (CCS1/2, CHAdeMO) too. I’m not following.
