I hate the term "girl's car." It's a non-gendered thing, dagnabbit. Also, it's usually derogatory: i.e. the 911 is the cutest car ever made, yet it's not a "girl's car." GRRRR!

So would an owner of a Fiesta ST be called a FiSTER?

It is cute but man, 17 mpg??? I paid half that for my Prius and am looking at the new Subaru hybrid as an upgrade. There's no way I'd buy a car these days with that kind of gas mileage. I can afford the gas, I just can't afford the guilt.

HAARP

Flaming Death must have been taken.....

This presents a dilemma for me. I own a 2011 Volt that I bought used 5 months ago. Hands down this is the best car I've ever owned and IMHO, one of the most underrated cars sold today. I have very long commute of 37 miles each way. As it stands I can get to work, charge there and drive home all week long without using

I hear ya on that comment. Mine is 23 this model year. Had it since new. Tried to buy it a beer on its 21st, but the bartender said it had to drink it on the patio and the gate was not in a place to drive through.

The Me-262 had short engine life because advanced alloys weren't available to the Germans due to wartime embargoes on raw materials. As a result, their engines were made almost entirely of steel, which didn't fare well under high heat and high stress.

I had a non AMG, CL600. I had an aftermarket extended warranty that did pay some. Maintenance and repairs for 3 years cost me $32,000. There is nothing more expensive than a cheap Mercedes. I've said this over and over and Jalopnik writers still keep encouraging ill-informed viewer to take the plunge.

I always hear how crazy the maintenance is on the 65 AMGs, but have never seen an actual number. Does anyone know what the average costs are after the warranty expires?

Ford shot themselves in the foot with that one. I think there could be an argument that even the Fiat Panda is better looking than the Ka.

Peasant cars don't get brick parking spots

Ford must be really happy how that whole platform sharing thing worked out. Fiat basically took the Ka's entire market share and sold them all 500s, and I can't help thinking it's because the new Ka was such a munter.

I had a Buick V6 in my boat, I was doing some work on it one day at the lake and accidentally left all the plug wires off of it on one side. Started it up, went to go out and it had no power. I shut it down and walk back to look at what was going on and realized that 3 of the wires were laying on the valve cover. I

Because TURBO.

Hey guys, can you tell me where the Cadillac is?

Thanks Damon, way to take away my job as a Shabbos Goy

Who knows? As a Reform Jew, I can tell you this much; there are 14 million Jews in the world, and 28 million opinions on how to interpret the rules.

Exactly what I did when I had to commute. Best decision I made in years.

My commute vehicle. Saves gas, doesn't take up a lot of space, and whenever I'm on it, I'm happy. :)
