Jill Stein is dealing with her guilt, that the votes that went to her might have been able to keep Trump out of office.

There is a thing: the FBI has said that Russians attempted a variety of hacks to influence the election, and there appears to be some anomalies with fully electronic voting machines, though the FBI

Ha! At LAX we wish we had an inter-terminal transportation system. The only thing we’ve got here is rental car buses.

Well, you could look at it as “The users pay for the upkeep of the facilities they depend on.” You should be mad at the shirkers who have friends and family pick them up without ponying up for the facilities.

Not entirely true. Intersecting freeways fit the profile, and the access roads being blocked from egress to the intersecting freeway back up the intersecting freeway in a similar manner in the greater LA metroplex. It’s gridlock on a vast scale if you look at the Google maps during rush hour (which starts before 4pm).

Sorry to hear that you’re a new resident. Unless you locate yourself near LA’s railed transit and get a job near the railed transit, you are so hosed.

Also, see that big daily 405 traffic jam? Look for all of the proposals to build rail as an alternative. Just kidding. There are none except for one small section

When you get traffic in San Diego, it does not seem to be dramatically different behaviorally. There’s just less of it, and you don’t spend as much time in it on a given trip as in LA.

If it wasn’t like that every single day at 5:30, I’d be more likely to appreciate the artistic beauty of this.

I’m on the side of “You have conflicting specifications.” This is a job for two different vehicles. You can get a used Camaro SS for your toy needs for about $14K. Spend the rest on a used SUV.

Southwest at least runs itself like a bus with wings. I appreciate the boarding and deplaning speeds. Lowered expectations means less expectation failure.

Not the people I know who self medicate. But then they have to pre-game since they don’t serve their kind of medication at airport terminals.

You guys really should be cruising the Westside east of Overland. Just stand for an hour at Olympic and Sepulveda and you’ll see a crazy assortment of cars you only see on car shows on TV.

Well, at least we can guess that you can put shaped cooling fins on the bottom and use a radiated IR photon engine to increase efficiency from the EM Drive.

I also wonder if you get more thrust from this rig or using a maser as an electromagnetic drive at the same power levels.

Neutral:

No horror story, just a severe case of expectation failure.

Ten years ago, my wife bought an optioned up manual PT Cruiser. It was practical and kind of fun to drive with a stick. Then I rented a PT Cruiser with a manual. Never had I been in a car so thoroughly ruined by an automatic. It seemed like it took a half hour

LA traffic finally broke my wife. After almost 30 years of manuals, she bought a CVT Outback. She doesn’t mind it.

I’ll give up my stick shift when I have a BEV that has 300+ lb-ft of torque no matter how fast I’m going. I’d be amused by a six speed on an electric, but it would be kind of stupid and ridiculous.

Now playing

This is absolutely a blast. Totally the right way to raise a kid :)

Evolution never starts from scratch. It always starts from the known and morphs from there.

We also know at least half the people complaining, have never bought and never will buy, a brand new car.

I’ve always bought my manual transmission cars fully optioned up. I bought the last two of them brand new, and my current car was NOT available in an automatic at all.

People who buy their cars used and demand manufacturers make a car for them, are like people who don’t vote and expect politicians to bust their butts

Yeah, well, the VAST majority of people buy cars to get from one place to another. Not entertainment.
