I think maybe a GT car. It can still go around turns pretty well, just not nearly as well and weighs a lot. I mean, what is the Viper? It’s not the best at going around turns, but with some work can top the Norschlief leader board.

It’s not really a muscle car. With IRS, super effective brakes and a suspension set up to keep it glued to the track in turns, it kind of gets disqualified.
If they have to go FWD, they should look at the way the Focus ST is tail happy. It is a lot of fun when you master it. Gotta get the idea of even weight distribution out of your head for that.
Germany would have won the war in Europe if Republicans had won the presidency in 1940. They were staunchly isolationist, and militantly opposed to ALL government spending. There was no military industrial complex yet. There would have been no government pumped improvements in aviation, no Manhattan Project. The…
There is only one right answer at this time, to the question of “Will there ever be FTL spacecraft?” That answer is, “Too soon to tell.” And will be for decades or even hundreds of years.
I wrote this awhile back about some semi-organize dumbshits who not only crashed, but one of their bikes caught fire. Every large group has its idiots, and there are a lot of motorcyclists out there who aren’t like this, and who want to have a long life of riding.
Just wondering which drug they’re calibrated to. Alcohol, pot, ecstacy, and Oxycontin all affect you very differently.
Five Guys = In ‘n Out. I like both, they’re kind of the same type of greasy spoon burger, and I might pick one or the other just based on what I feel like having that day.
To be fair, the Carmageddon bridge was at the top of a low mountain pass where something like this is not remotely possible logistically.
Actually, any form of forced induction is exactly a replacement for displacement.
Dog’s should be instinctually afraid of empty boxes. They might contain a cat.
While most assumptions are alcohol or drugs, she may also have been the victim of a horrific crime.
Interesting that this is new news. Stephen Baxter’s Proxima is built around a red dwarf with a titally locked planet in the Centauri star system. Which gets hit with solar flares on the regular. That book’s been out a year, and was probably in the writing process at least a year before that.
Most coal generating plants can be converted to natural gas. Although they might not be as efficient as a brand new natural gas generating plant. This does still produce CO2, but a lot less.
As I watch our gridlock daily in LA, I can see how if all the cars on the roads were both autonomous and networked, they could all start at the same time when a light changes, with the cars closer together. Rather than the first car moving, then the second, then the third. Hell, if all the cars were autonomous, you…
Bourdain isn’t too hard a target himself. But if Fieri returns fire, it had better be a direct hit and funny as hell.
Sorry we contributed to SUV/CUV sales this year. We got a Subie Outback. 33 mpg open road (rated, sometimes higher, mostly lower in LA traffic). AWD is sort of overkill for us, but the economy is still good for a vehicle this size. Most of the crossovers from other companies seemed to get fuel economy that was in that…
Harley also has a more modern DOHC engine in their V-Rod. And modern brakes.
Reminds me of one of these (though the V-Rod only has 123 horsepower):
