When she goes away on trade fairs, we can stuff it to the roof with products and sales stuff.

It improved when they put the 348 in, but that was for the last couple of years. And still only 300 hp. You get more than that with a 2.3 liter Ford Mustang 4 banger these days.

Now playing

I’m reminded of Mike Jittlov’s “Mouse Mania”, commissioned by Disney for Mickey Mouse’s 50th Anniversary. If this doesn’t start automatically at :23, that’s where it should start:

One of those September sales was us. We bought a 2016 Outback. Tried looking for a used one, but recemt used ones with under 50K on the clock were selling for only a couple of thousand below a new one in our area.

The nearest bus stop to my house is a mile walk. And I’m almost 60 years old, with ACL problems in both of my knees. Not everyone is under 40.

I’d like a car I can put in “autonomous” for the city, and “driver” for anyplace else.

I like my Shark Evoline III. Meets ECE 22-05 and the chin bar goes all the way to the back (instead of being a big wind lever like every other modular) when I want to ride open faced. Which is most of the time at speeds below 50 mph.

Such a dog, no one else in the conversation even gave it a moment’s thought:

0-60 in 5.7 seconds definitely isn’t slow. It’s the same 0-60 the V-8 got in 93-95. It’s about the same as the 0-60 of a VW GTI, only cheaper. Plus RWD. On public roads, it’s fast enough for any situation you’ll encounter other than a stoplight race. And at stoplights, there’s always someone faster than you.

Don’t know why they use the word “microgravity”. If it’s in orbit, the effects of gravity have to be zero by definition.

I’m loyal enough to give “first right of refusal” if I’ve had a good experience with the car. I’d buy another Ford unless the company changed in some way philosophically. I wouldn’t buy another GM car, based on recent revelations, but my 95 Trans Am lasted 17 years with few problems. I wouldn’t buy another Chrysler

The gear is a major impediment to me riding more. If I’m riding to someplace, I can’t walk around in leathers or textiles, and I don’t have enough storage space on the bike. Walking around with a FF helmet in hand also is pretty damn inconvenient.

The new theory technically doesn’t invalidate the Chixalub impact as the source of extinction. If the volcanoes were triggered by it, the impact is still the source.

I haven’t tried the Apple, but they’re all crap in my opinion. I’ve tried the Roku, Chromecast and Amazon devices. I’m going to buy a cheap Windows computer and use that instead, since the Windows computers can handle Silverlight, Flash and the other various standards that won’t die.

Neutral:

Comparing commute times is bullshit. You have to compare commute miles, because public transit other than rails (and even with if stations aren’t at the end points of your commute) can more than double your commute time.

One of several reasons we didn’t even look at GM vehicles this time around when we needed something that could haul our stuff. Neither they nor Chrysler can be trusted. Mind boggling to me, is that Ford is the only US auto maker I’d buy anything from now.

Is this the typical “only young, skinny women need apply” women’s motorcycle fashions? From the article, it would appear so.

There are actually people out there, walking around, insisting that their friends try out this great new thing called EcoBoost.

And Subaru. They seem to recall their vehicles as soon as they spot a problem. And seem concerned about their reputation for safety.
