I THINK next gen primarily applies to the mods made for the PC version.

Doesn't Boeing use a CNC carbon fiber machine to build fuselages? I agree with you about materials being 3D printed. It's impossible with current tech to print a strong load bearing structures. But you could print the skeleton and use a robot to wrap it in carbon fiber.
