I know they've had some history, especially during the Denver-LA Conference Finals in 2008, but I didn't see anything on this specific play.

Why does the play-by-play man describe Oscar Pistorius's actions at the end of the video?

Now playing

I can only imagine how much fun James Franco had playing an exaggerated version of Riff Raff, who is in turn an exaggerated version of what Horst Simco wished he could be as a gawky 15-year old.

And I still can't believe the managers of Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens signed off on a movie directed by the guy who

Grimace was a jerk in the early days, kind of a bully at first to the other characters in McDonaldland. But in the past 30 years or so, Grimace has become a lot more likeable. So if you're referring to the modern day version, I have to agree with you.

Sounded like "You know what you did. You helped wreck the program. You helped wreck the program."

Damn. I was really hoping for a crazy scenario where Swansea finished 5th, Millwall or Blackburn got the FA Cup spot after losing to one of the big teams, and Bradford got the Capital One slot. That would have messed with the England's UEFA coefficient.

Wow, that draw with Wigan vs Millwall/Blackburn is going to screw things up for Everton and Liverpool.

Next year's class is amazing, even if they don't land Wiggins or Randle. And they may be good enough to win it all or get to the Elite 8/Final 4 with just the freshmen and Wiltjer. But in the long-run, I do wonder if there will be problems if the other guys a) feel the pressure, declare early and get picked in the

He had 7 real players on the team, including the freshmen. Since those minutes weren't going to Jon Hood or the walk-ons, everyone knew where those minutes were going.

The top 10 is always full of experienced sides. Kansas has 4 senior starters (3 of whom are 5th year seniors), Miami's 6 best players include 5 seniors (4 5th year seniors), Duke has 3 seniors, Michigan State starts 3 upperclassmen, Florida starts 4 seniors, Louisville has 3 upperclassmen starters, etc.

Thank you for the link and the summary.

In case anyone's interested, DeSagana Diop averaged less than 15 points per game as a 7'1" high school senior. But a high schooler averaging less than 15 a game had more potential than a 20-year old Elton Brand, who was fresh off a 20/10 rookie season.

I'm not a hunter, but I agree with all of your points, Sam. I was particularly interested in the Harper's link about how oil ends up in some of our food, but it's behind a pay wall. Any chance you or someone else who's read the article can give a really brief summary of how that happens?

Is that available for the Kindle yet?

That's about what I expected. As the conference has gotten bigger, there are more MBA students and probably some guys working boring jobs in private equity/ M&A/hedge funds who have a dream of transitioning to the sports world, aka the Daryl Morey strategy.
