I'm curious why they are concentrating on making them smaller, whey they could be using that technology to bump up the capacity in the existing size.

@JoshUng: Jane you ignorant, misguided slut!

@JoshUng: Crystal Pepsi was awesome.

I'll stick with these, thanks.

Man, I did this a long time ago. When Amazon first started releasing DRM free, high quality mp3s. I do, however, use iTunes on my Macbook to organize my music, so I really like the option to automatically import songs I get from Amazon into my iTunes library.

@comics0026: I'm afraid of Chinese Republicans in the Government.

Is there an iOS equivalent? The guest wi-fi at work requires a login and the system is so weird, sometimes if my phone has been in standby for a bit, it loses the login so I have to type it in again, several times a day....very annoying.

@LastBoyScout: yep, IT dept checking in here as well.

@photofun4all89: Very true, it's technically called a linear induction motor. My company is building both this EMALS system and a railgun for the navy. Same basic idea, vastly different approach.

@snownpaint1: It probably is faster. Remember, this was the very first time an actual plane was launched using this new system. It had been tested using dead loads for about a year, but hadn't launched a plane yet. I think the idea was just to successfully launch a jet now and then tweak it later.

@WhoWhat: I think the limiting factor has been the cost and the fact that the Navy doesn't like change. The company I work for is the one designing and building EMALS. It's a very, very expensive contract. One of the big challeges is the support equipment required. A ship (even one as big as a carrier) has limited

Can't you get prepaid debit cards from the major CC companies? For those that say gift cards are bad because you're tied to one store, that is an alternative, they've got a card you can spend in any store.

@herald: I don't know what kind of gift cards you've been getting, but I've never had any problems using them. And stores *do* have an incentive to redeem them, because that gets a person into their store and chances are they'll buy more than the value of the gift card.

@peteer02: hates geofencing: weird, I always thought it was the opposite. that you could show everything as long as you didn't see any pubic hair.

@DJKGinHD: "You sure won't let me deal the cards. You might as well call it WHITEJACK!!!"

It would have been nice to have seen the eclipse, except for the fact that it was freaking raining in San Diego.

@Ashkihyena: It's cheesy but fun. If you like solving puzzles it will be a lot of fun.

I pre-ordered it about a week ago or so, and then promptly wasted the rest of the work day playing that Puzzle Agents game.
